Welcome back to Autumn 2!

We hope you have all had a restful half term holiday with plenty of time to recharge those batteries. This term promises to be a busy one, with lots of new topics, a trip into our local area and of course, the run up to Christmas and our famous Christmas production!

I have included a newsletter with more details about the up and coming events and work that the children will be covering, so please take a minute to have a look.

Our PE slots in Year 3 for this half term will remain the same: Tuesdays and Fridays – although the way to avoid any disappointment or missed lessons is to leave the children’s PE kits in school for the rest of the half term and take them home at Christmas for a good wash! They will need an indoor kit (shorts, T-shirt and pumps) and an outdoor kit (a pair of jogger bottoms and some trainers).

As usual, homework will be given out on Tuesdays and will need to be handed in on the following Monday. The children can also change their reading book and library book as often as is necessary.

We will at times be doing some quite messy artwork including working with paint, clay and other delights – if you would like provide your child with an old T-shirt to wear to protect their uniform, please feel free, they can pop it into their PE bag so they always have it on hand.

We will of course keep you updated with anything else you might need to know. We will use the Xpressions app to keep you updated and will update the website regularly to make sure you are kept in the loop.

Please pop in at any point if there is anything that you want to ask, check or query – our doors are always open.
