5R

Welcome to Year 5!

Welcome to the final term of the year and to our new upgraded class page. The children have made some excellent progression this year and are excited to enter the Summer term with their positive mindsets and eagerness to take on new challenges. We had a brilliant time at our recent trip to Preston Guild Hall as part of the Lancashire Sings Project and look forward to upcoming events such as celebrating St. Georges day, our trip to the Lancashire Science festival and Sports Day 2017.

Just a reminder- Homework and spellings will be going out on a Tuesday. Homework are to be returned before the following Monday at the very latest. Spellings will be tested every Monday. Also, all Year 5 children will be given a Guided Reading book and will have a Guided Reading session with me, Mr Rothwell, each week. They will then be given a task to complete to be continued at home.  As part of their reading development, all children will be given a library book which will be changed every few weeks. It would be greatly appreciated if you could share this book with your children.

Please look at our 'Come and look at us learning' section to see pictures of what we get up to in 5R.....

If you need anything at all please contact the school office or email me direct at: k.rothwell@lmjs.lancs.sch.uk
