5S

Welcome to Year 5!

Welcome to the second part of the Autumn Term, Christmas is on its way and we are so excited to continue our school year with our positive mind-sets and eagerness to take on new challenges. We hope you enjoy every opportunity and exciting opportunity given to you.

Just a reminder- Homework and spellings go out on a Tuesday and is to be returned to school by the following Monday at the very latest (they can be handed in earlier). All children will be given a guided reading book and will have a guided reading session with the class teacher each week. They will then be given a task to complete each Tuesday, to be continued at home, this will also be due in on the Monday. As part of their reading development all children are also given the opportunity to choose a library book, which will be changed every few weeks.

Please look at our 'Come and look at us learning' section to see pictures of our 'Food Around the World' topic in 5S!

If you need anything at all, please catch me at my door, leave a message at the school office or email me direct at e.sewell@lmjs.lancs.sch.uk
