Trip to Liverpool World Museum and walker Art Gallery

S - Science    T-Technology    E - Engineering    M - Mathematics

This week we have been working together to solve problems using our scientific and engineering brains. In these pictures we are working on building a prototype of a bridge. Our bridge needs to be strong enough to take weight and stable enough to stand unsupported. It's tricky!

Welcome Back to the Summer 2!

It’s hard to believe that in only 7 weeks, all those little year threes that joined us in September, will have finished their first whole year at LMJS and will be getting ready to move up into Year 4!

Time flies.

For our final half term, we have got lots of lovely things organised. Firstly of course, is the Summer Fair – taking place on the first Friday back after the half term holidays. there will be lots of stalls and games to play so please come along and enjoy the fun!

During the week beginning the 10th June, the whole school is taking part in a STEM week. This involves a whole action-packed week of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths – it will be practical, exploratory, filled with challenges and lots of fun!

We will of course, also be taking the children out of school for a trip during this term. This year we will be visiting the Walker Art Gallery and World Museum in Liverpool. This is a great day out and involves visiting both venues in one very busy day. The date for this is WEDNESDAY 26th JUNE.

Sports days, Dance from the Heart, open air worships, prize-givings…the list of things going on this half term is endless, so please keep an eye on newsletters and the Xpressions app to keep up to date.

To find out what is going on in class, take a look at our Class newsletter – it will fill you in on all the exciting topics we will be covering this half term.

For now, enjoy the run up to summer and please pop in at any point if there is anything that you want to ask, check or query – our doors are always open.
