Welcome to Year 6!
During the time that school is closed, work will be added to our website for your children to do. This will range from Maths and English to projects and other activities they could do at home. Please feel free to send me a message if you have a question about the work through Seesaw or my email.
If you are looking for work on the internet, we please ask that you do not give your child the 2019 SATs paper. We will be completing this when we return to school.
Whilst you are at home, I would like to start a slideshow of pictures showcasing what you are getting up to. This could be you playing with your siblings, baking, cooking, house work, school work...etc. I will add them as they are emailed and you can see what your friends are doing. I will also add pictures of anyone in school and my own pictures so everyone is represented. It doesn't just have to be one picture, keep them coming as time goes on!
Remember, any educational learning is a bonus. This is a stressful and uncertain time for all of us. Keep the children and yourselves safe and please make the most of any opportunities you all get just to enjoy being together and healthy. That’s the most important thing we can ask you to do.
Stay safe and we hope to see you as soon as it is safe to do so,
The things we are grateful for...
In these uncertain times, it is sometimes hard to think of the positives around us. We have asked Year 6 to think of the things they are grateful for during the current situation and share them with others.
Only a prayer away
Rainbows appear after mighty storms,
when things look their very worst.
Just when the skies are darkest grey,
Look for the rainbow first.
The rainbow is a sign of God's promise,
that He will guide us through any storm.
That He will see us through all our troubles,
no matter what their form.
When you feel battered by life's storms,
and you are filled with doubt and dismay;
just remember a rainbow is coming,
it is only a prayer away.
