Our unit of work for PSHE this half term is 'being in my world'. The children have been learning how to talk about themselves and their likes and dislikes, their families and homes, and their thoughts and feelings.
For P.E this half term, we have been learning about fundamental movement skills, such as jumping for distance, running, throwing and catching. We have also learned how to remain at a work station and how to move safely around a space.
The children enjoyed learning about Harvest Festival. We discussed how the farmers work hard in their fields to gather grains, fruit and vegetables so that we can have lots of food to eat. We also thought about families who need our help and kindness and brought in food to donate. We then led a worship in the hall for Reverend Gill to talk about everything that we have learned.
We brought in photos of ourselves as babies. We started the lesson by wandering around and looking at all the photos, trying to guess who was who. We then discussed how we had changed since we were babies. What did we look like then? What do we look like now? Will we continue to change and grow? The children really enjoyed discussing these things together.
Within God’s love for everyone, Our school family is committed to serve by:
- celebrating everyone’s unique God-given talents;
- giving the best of ourselves for all the world;
- doing all the good we can together.
