Fun Run - Bethany Project

22nd November 2019

Leyland Methodist School’s Fun Run

Dear Parents/Carers,

On Wednesday 4th December, both the Infant and Junior School will be participating in a fun run to raise money for ‘Bethany Family’ an orphanage in Tanzania who are fully funded by donations. In previous years we have been visited by the orphanage who shared their story, songs and prayers with us. In the upcoming weeks they are due to visit us once more and it would be lovely to share our donations with them on their visit.
During the day, each year group will get the opportunity to go outside and run around a designated route in any fancy dress of their choosing. This may be a full costume or a mix of accessories. Children can come to school in the morning in their fancy dress and remain in it all day. Please ensure they have a jumper and tracksuit bottoms to put on before or after their race if the weather is particularly cold.
As this is a fun run, we would like the children to raise sponsorship for participating from their family and friends. The money will be collected on the day and given to our charity upon their visit. A total amount will be shared with you on our newsletter.

Let us see how much we can raise!

Yours sincerely,

Miss Hogan
