Let's re-decorate!
18/09/24
Our little learners have seen our site manager Mr Thompson making some changes to our Outdoor Classroom this week, and they decided that they wanted to help! They gave a splash of colour to the tyres, to the Mud Kitchen cafe, and to the sheds. Some children helped Mrs Dougan with some gardening and learnt how to safely remove dead plants, and how to plant new seeds. They practiced their independent skills by tidying up any waste, and cleaning up their pallets, pots and brushes after painting.
"I've earned a coloured strip"
09/09/24
You may have heard your little learner talking about earning coloured strips throughout their day.
Coloured strips are a system that we use within EYFS to complete and track independent learning tasks. Each day, children are expected to earn a minimum of one coloured strip when they go and explore their learning. Several activities within both our indoor and outdoor classrooms are linked to coloured strips which allow us to assess and track the children's independent learning. If they complete more than 7 coloured strip tasks in a week they get a sticker for going Above and Beyond. Below are some examples of how they are used within our provision.

We’re really looking forward to seeing you in our classroom on Tuesday!
We are conscious that some children may not have had a chance to come and have a look around school before Summer. With this in mind, here are some images of our learning spaces. Alternatively, please watch the unit tour on Class Dojo.
We hope you enjoy watching your journey together and we cannot wait to greet you at the door on Tuesday 3rd September 2024.
