Welcome to Year 6

 

Welcome back to our final half term of the school year.

 

We have a very exciting, albeit busy half term ahead in Y6; varying from Sports Day, Summer Fair and our end of Year 6 production. Refer to Summer Term 2 'Newsletter' to find out more about our curriculum this half term and important dates for upcoming events.

 

Guided Reading UPDATE:

 

Guided Reading will now be class based and Yew class will be embarking on this adventure with the text ‘Holes’.

 

 We love to share our learning with Parents/Guardians, therefore, please ensure you are checking for regular updates on class DOJO and ‘Our Learning’ tab on our class page on the school website.

 

 

Important Information:

 

 

  • PE days are: Tuesday - Indoor and Friday - Outdoor
  • Please ensure that your child attends school in their correct PE kit (red PE jumper/white t-shirt/ black shorts/joggers/black trainers or pumps).
  • Homework will be provided weekly on a Tuesday and will need to be submitted by the following Monday.
  • Spellings will be tested each Monday.
  • 20 minutes of reading per night is recommended.
