  • Infant School MUGA coming soon!

    Tue 24 May 2022 K A Melling

    We are very excited that the work to construct a new Multi Use Games Area at the Infant School has started this week. The plan is create a fenced area with a tarmac court for basketball and pitch for football. The design is similar to the one on the Upper Junior Playground but will be slightly smaller with equipment of basketball hoops and football goals suitable for our children in the infant school. This should be ready a couple of weeks into this last half term of the summer. 

  • New Communication Section

    As part of the schools' response to the November OFSTED report for the Junior School, we have now included a new 'Communication' section under the Parents Menu of this website. This has new content which includes a quick reference flowchart for who to approach if you have a concern. We always hope that our children remain happy and thrive but if for any reason this is not the case, we would strongly encourage you to get in touch as quickly as possible so that any worries can be alleviated. We hope this quick guide supports this process.

  • New Behaviour Policy Spring 2022

  • Leyland Methodist Junior School - OFSTED Report November 2021

    The latest OFSTED report for the Junior School has now been published and is available from the Key Info dropdown tab and then select OFSTED and Performance Data. We are delighted with report, particularly in the light of the challenges caused by the pandemic. We are very proud of the achievements of our staff team and, of course, our wonderful children. Thank you too to our parents for all their support.

     

    Please note this applies to the Junior School only - the Infant School will be inspected separately within the next two years.

Please note this is based on Lancashire Authority's model risk assessment and tailored to our individual school contexts.
