Aspen Class

Welcome to Autumn 1 in Year 3!

Welcome to your first term in our Junior School... We are so excited to get to know our new Year 3 classes and we have so much exciting learning to get stuck into!

In English we are going to be writing a magical story based on the traditional fairy tales and looking more specifically at the enchanting story of The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Anderson. We will also using our History learning for the term to write a fascinating non-chronological reports about Skara Brae - a village built in the Stone Age! In Maths, we will be practicing and developing our knowledge of place value, followed by addition and subtraction.  We will also be exploring a variation of different media to create artwork influenced by the Stone Age, such as Cave Wall art. In Science, we will investigate the how forces and magnets work using both theory and practical strategies.

Please make sure you view our 'Learning' tab below to follow our curriculum adventures.
