Elm - Miss Sanderson

Welcome to Autumn 2 in Year 3!

We have so many exciting things to do in the weeks ahead and cannot wait to continue our learning journey.

.

In English we are going to be using the our knowledge of fairy tales from last half term to write a magical play script based on another traditional fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson - The Tin Soldier. We will also be writing some poetry, as well as a discussion text! In Maths, we will be practicing and developing our knowledge of addition and subtractions followed by multiplication and division.   In Science, we will investigate light and shadow using both theoretical and practical strategies - we will then apply this knowledge in our Design Technology lessons to create our very our shadow puppets.

Please make sure you view our 'Learning' tab below to follow our curriculum adventures - there are lots of pictures celebrating the children's learning journeys, as well as useful links and resources to support any learning at home.
