Welcome to Summer 2 in Year 3!

We have so many exciting things to do in the weeks ahead and we cannot wait to complete our Year 3 learning journey!

.

In English we are going to be developing our knowledge of writing a description in a fictional story through exploring Folk Tales.  We will also be writing a diary entries.  In Maths, we will be practicing and developing our knowledge of 2D shapes and angles, place value, addition and subtraction, and multiplication and division.   In Science, we will developing our skills in of Scientific Enquiry  and in Geography we will be exploring regions of the UK and their physical features.

 

Please make sure you view our 'Learning' tab below to follow our curriculum adventures - there are lots of pictures celebrating the children's learning journeys, as well as useful links and resources to support any learning at home.

 

Important information:

 

PE is on Wednesdays and Fridays  (Please can children wear their full PE kit to school - Wednesdays will be outdoor);

Homework will be given out on the first day back, it will consist of three booklets (English, Maths and topic) which all have a task to complete for each week. The booklets will be handed back to school on the last day of half term.

Spelling words will given out with the homework booklets and tests will be each Monday;

Monday afternoons Elm Class will be taught  by Mrs Osbourne.
