New Starters - Reception

New Starters September 2022

We are delighted to have received our list of children starting in Reception in September 2022. Letters will be sent out the week beginning 18th April to the parents of our new children asking them to confirm their acceptance of a place for September. We would be grateful for a quick turn around on these so we can send out further information as soon as possible. We are almost at full capacity, however, if you do know of anyone moving into the area who is interested in the few remaining reception places for September, then please ask them to notify Lancashire County Council's Pupil Access Team requesting a place at Leyland Methodist Schools. Details can be found on the Admissions Page of this website by selecting the Key Info drop down tab.

Once we have received place confirmation from parents, we will be asking you for further information including:

  • a copy of your child's birth certificate
  • signed permission slip for your child to be included in school photographs, social media etc.
  • signed permission slip for your child's participation in trips in the local area
  • signed confirmation of your acceptance of our 'Acceptable Use Policy for IT and other technology related devices
  • eligibility information for those parents who may feel their circumstances qualify for school to receive a Pupil Premium Grant and free school meals for their child. (Please note all children qualify for a Universal Free School Meal until the year in which they turn 7 years old. However, some families will qualify for free school meals under the Pupil Premium Grant  based on financial income to the home. School also receives additional funding to support the children eligible for this grant.)

In addition, we will be sending information about the New Starters' timetable for events this term to get your child ready for school in September. So please watch this space...

These dates are to be confirmed in the summer term.

New Starters' Information Video 2021

We were unable to meet the parents face-to-face for our New Starters' Information Meeting 2021 due to the pandemic, so we put together a short information video.
