Humanities Curriculum Intent
At LMS, we aim to give our children a humanities curriculum which enables them to become confident, creative and independent learners who can celebrate the use of different knowledge and skills throughout their learning.
We love to broaden our children’s real-life experiences both inside and outside the classroom through educational visits, visitors, experimentation, exploration and discovery.
Our curriculum reflects our children’s heritages; expanding their horizons and making ALL children to carefully consider, reflect the key themes and question the evidence that is available.
Our children acquire a range of skills and knowledge in history, geography and RE which together they can then apply to other subjects and situations.
It is our aim that through historical, geographical and religious learning that our children will serve our community; therefore, understanding their role in protecting our world and environment- knowing that they can cause positive change and development as they grow.
Within God’s love for everyone, Our school family is committed to serve by:
- celebrating everyone’s unique God-given talents;
- giving the best of ourselves for all the world;
- doing all the good we can together.
