After a glorious six weeks of sunshine and no alarm clocks, here we are in Autumn 1, smiling and ready to soar into a new school year, kicking things off with our exciting Magnificent Mountains unit.

In English, we will be developing our persuasive skills looking at Fair Trade. We will immerse ourselves in the grammatical features used in different types of writing genres and utilise our creativity and imagination to create our own adventure story.

In Science, we will looking into aspiring scientists and inventors such as David Attenborough, Eva Crane and Leonardo da Vinci.

 Throughout this academic year, we aim to provide your children with exciting and memorable learning opportunities which will enrich their school experience. We love to share our learning with Parents/Guardians, therefore, please ensure you are checking for regular updates on class DOJO and ‘Our Learning’ tab on our class page on the school website.

 

Important Information:

  • PE is on a Tuesday (Swimming) and Friday (Indoor).
  • Please ensure that your child attends school in their correct PE kit (red PE jumper/white t-shirt/black shorts/joggers/black trainers or pumps).
  • Homework will be provided weekly on a Tuesday (commencing 12.09.23) and will need to be completed and returned to school the following Monday.
  • Spellings will be tested each Monday.
  • Reading is a literary portal into an alternate dimension; therefore, 20 minutes of reading per night is recommended.
