Welcome to Year 6

After a glorious six weeks of sunshine and no alarm clocks, here we are in Autumn term 1, ready to soar into a new school year of fun and exciting learning. We will be immersing ourselves into Shakespeare’s play ‘The Tempest’ and exploring the stormy themes which run within. In History, we will be expanding our knowledge on the Tudors, investigating how the role of Monarchs have changed since Henry VIII ruled compared to today. In Science, we will be stepping into the role of biologists as we dive into enhancing our understanding of the human body and our cardiovascular system.

We love to share our learning with Parents/Guardians, therefore, please ensure you are checking for regular updates on class DOJO and ‘Our Learning’ tab on our class page on the school website.

Important Information:

  • PE is on a Wednesday and Friday
  • Please ensure that your child attends school in their correct PE kit (red PE jumper/white t-shirt/ black shorts/joggers/black trainers or pumps).
  • Homework will be provided weekly on a Tuesday and will need to be submitted by the following Monday.
  • Spellings will be tested each Monday.
  • Reading is a literary portal into an alternate dimension; therefore, 20 minutes of reading per night is recommended.

If you have any questions, please contact me via Dojo or email.
